St. Dominic Priory (Denver, CO)

Stained Glass Denver was honored to work with St. Dominic Priory on a project that beautifully blends architectural foresight, narrative storytelling, and sacred artistry. The chapel featured twelve plain-glass windows originally designed with future stained glass in mind—an intentional choice by architects decades earlier. This allowed our new panels to integrate seamlessly into the existing frames. The priory desired artwork that illustrated the life of St. Dominic, their patron saint, while preserving natural light and enhancing privacy. Our designers studied his teachings, ministry, and defining moments, selecting key scenes to portray across twelve windows—each crafted as a “story within a story.” Using hand-painted and leaded glass techniques, we created a luminous visual journey that fills the sanctuary with color, symbolism, and reverence. The completed installation stands as a powerful tribute to St. Dominic’s enduring legacy of faith, study, and service.
