St. Edward’s Episcopal Church (Lancaster, PA)
Stained Glass Denver was honored to collaborate with St. Edward’s Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on a profoundly meaningful stained glass installation created in memory of their former pastor. The church initially envisioned a Tree of Life to symbolize growth, faith, and spiritual continuity, but during the design process expressed a desire to incorporate Jesus in the Sea of Galilee—a beloved biblical scene rich with themes of guidance, resilience, and divine presence. Our designer, Maria, skillfully merged these narratives into a unified composition spanning more than twenty individual panels. By selecting richly textured glass to add vibrancy and depth—while reserving detailed hand-painting for key symbolic elements—we delivered a breathtaking window that serves as a luminous focal point in the sanctuary. The finished artwork beautifully reflects the congregation’s identity and values, filling the space with color, warmth, and spiritual meaning.
